5 Miles (7.6km)

The Lydford Dash is approximately 5 miles in length over undulating ground incorporating rough fields, rough tracks, two river crossings with stepping stones and a bridge, a gravel track and about 250 yards (193 meters) on tarmac, (virtually traffic free) and then across a beautiful common incorporating some of the best views of the moors and the village of Lydford beyond.

The Route

The run is a figure of eight so you will repeat the start/finish and there is a water station situated on both the inward and outward leg should it be required.

The run covers some land which we have kindly been given special permission to use so our thanks go the landowners involved. There is a nice downward hill but also obviously an uphill section but the views at the top are worth the climb.
